Okay, so ... according to Merrell-Wolff: (1) = consciousness-without-an-objects (2) = consciousness-of-objects (universe/nirvana) (3) = consciousness-of-objects (space, time, law) according to Ramana: (1) = being-consciousness (2) = rising-consciousness (universal/cosmic mind) (3) = rising-consciousness (egoic mind) according to Niz: (1) = consciousness without concepts (prior "I am") (2) = consciousness with concepts ("I am") (3) = consciousness with concepts ("I am this/that") (not really sure about Niz because he's a little too sloppy )

I guess, imaginary maps provide some temporary relief when we imagine we're lost!
