The purpose of this forum is to provide a venue to discuss any of the articles on the RealizingHappiness website, and also to discuss the spiritual aspects of inner peace as it relates to nonduality, or the teachings of Advaita Vedanta.
While the search for happiness can take many forms, the overall direction of the website has been to reveal the limitations of these various approaches and focus on inner peace as the actual goal.
While the term is not terribly mysterious, the 'attainment' of Peace is relatively rare and does require a rather single pointed focus and a genuine sincerity. While we're not big on rules of behavior here, we do have this singular requirement for participation: Sincerity. Perhaps we could say sincerity is the intent to discover the truth and the absence of ulterior motives that would compromise that search as we commune with others here.
Degree of clarity or level of conceptual understanding is of no particular importance here, as we're all obliged to stand shoulder to shoulder on level ground and explore the horizon together, or move the nearest obstacle out of the way, together. It is in the nature of Peace that this cannot be a competition. It is in the nature of oneness that it cannot be a race that anyone can win, and it is in the nature of love that sincerity cannot be dismissed.
We welcome all who sincerely wish to be free, and offer this one promise only: It IS possible.
