From the book "Wake up and Roar", H.W.L. Poonja: Interesting that by pointing to the actual problemo Papaji's finger is pointing into the direction of the teacher and not the seeker. How refreshingly unorthodox!

How refreshingly unorthodox! Yeah, that struck me as a bit odd. The way I interpret purification in this case is a practice to make self realization more stable or sumthin, which may imply the teacher isn't really pointing at self realization but rather some mind state. The way I've always used purification is to refer to the dissolving of various illusions.

I've heard rumors of rooms where bunnies are all gathered together and the carrots are all carefully screened and washed and certified organic.
Us bunnies out here in the wild gotta' eat the carrots we dig up for ourselves!

Illusions have to be dissolved, before you can realize, BE what you really are.

Oh, I didn't know Papaji was being thrown in the neo bucket. If I remember correctly he was seen as the founder of the neo bucket club.

I thought Tony Parsons was the neo poster boy. Parsons is still alive. Dead gurus are much betterer to discredit, hehe. That Dennis Waite guy seemed to have some beef with Parsons about the true nature of Advaita. If I remember correctly then it was similar to the path/no path discussions on ST.
