Are you experiencing? Any denial of the fact of experience as this sentence is read is TMT. So, the fact of the experience itself, is not an illusion. The dream metaphor encompasses experience, and everything within the dream is ephemeral. So a valid pointer is that no appearance is real. But this is as much a comment on the nature of objects as it is a comment on reality. Not all appearance is illusion, but no appearance exists independently, in it's own right. There is a potential for a significant existential realization involving the nature of objects that can be far short of the end of seeking. For many - including myself - there's really no point in distinguishing the experience surrounding this realization from the realization itself. It can be a real mind blower, and has the potential to be quite layered. Not that there isn't an ultimate depth to it - because there is - but because until that ultimate depth is found there are many different possible shades to it, and encountering these can be quite woo-woo and ecstatic. Such encounters are prime candidates for attachment by mind as the end-all of existential realization, and this is unfortunate. Conversely, many facets of existential realization are possible without ever encountering this ultimate depth on the nature of objects, so it's quite possible for folks to express all manner of insight as to nonduality, but still have a blindspot as to the nature of thingness. Thingness, is ultimately, a tantric affair.
