Thanks, makes sense. Am still here, nothing much going on but not too much seeking at mo either. It's all good for now. So, what's the latest escape plan? Knitting?

I just got back from a mass where the Rev read Rumi and passages about the Kingdom of heaven being within you. There was just something missing though, it's as if they don't understand the teachings, telling folk to give up their worldly goods etc...was almost there but not quite.

Yeah sure- copied below; (I did post it originally but somehow pressed the back button and it was gone so couldn't be bothered to write it again at the time). There is a life-force within your soul, seek that life. There is a gem in the mountain of your body, seek that mine. O traveler, if you are in search of That Don't look outside, look inside yourself and seek That. As I say this was read after being preached to (that's a horrible phrase, preached to) about materialism.

They were just saying not to put too much value on wordly goods and look within instead, but with no explanation that kind of thing is taken too literally or goes over heads imho. It's what puts me off my Catholic Faith, just wish they would explain the readings, instead the priests give a boring speach that sends half the congregation to sleep! Seriously, I reckon an Abe church would do better these days!

Maybe he figures his flock is spending too much time wandering the pastures and needs to get an internal focus before he can even talk about what they need to look for.

Possibly if it was a regular congregation, but a school mass? First time I'd ever been. Really most people looked asleep. (Ha ha in more ways than one....probably wondering what to cook for dinner etc)

Hehe.

Seriously, I reckon an Abe church would do better these days!Oh, it would do well, of course. A-H do a great job in throwing out old concepts like 'only being poor is spiritual' and such.

So many man-made beliefs. I was thinking yesterday how everyone was kind of complaining about it still being 36degrees and Autumn. For starters it's like this every year (sort of), but mainly the fact that everyone thinks the weather is wrong. Maybe we should change the seasons instead. Ha ha!

Hehe. Fire and brimstone worked very well in the past as powerful focal points. What's the modern day equivalent? Terrorists and climate change?

That's an interesting point about collective programming. The 36 degrees autumn seems to not be in alignment with the regularly scheduled program. So the weather has to adjust. It's similar to individual programming. No one ever seems to question the scheduled program, heh.
