When this forum launched I was on 'the other side of the fence' (anti E&R), cuz .. well .. "stupid is that stupid does' I guess. Anyhoo, after some months of poking and mocking by brother R ;-) , and a deleted account or two, I realized where the real problem actually resided, and immediately after noticing that particular dysfunction .. it was gone. So one down ... (and who knows how many more) to go. *smiles* Earlier today I told a story about my recognition of the one timeless looker (which has nothing to do with me), and I've had such 'glimpses' multiple times in the past few months, but I'm not sure that that 'experience' would be called a realization (not that it matters). No woo woo, nothing gained, nothing lost, just a recognition of looking through timeless eyes which aren't mine (or maybe they are my eyes, but just on a short term loan .. hehe) postscript: actually, there was another intention around when I first conceived of starting this thread, but now, it too, is gone. hehe. probably got lost when I shifted gears and started talking about me and my shadow, or something. one good thing about this "dead forum", as verby would call it, you've got lots of room to stretch your legs, and plenty of time to mold your clay, a la stevo. ;-)

Hey Farmer, nice to have you here!
I would say that was a pretty good realization, that time is an idea and the 'looker' is the same and unchanged.
And yes, there's a lot more potential here to stay focused on a topic.

Hey, what's up Dan? Yesterday mornings story of yours came to mind when I sat down on the bench to meditate after a run in the afternoon. The view from there includes this slice of distant hills, maybe 10-20 miles away -- all the leaves are changing right now so to say that it's a pleasant view doesn't quite capture it. At all. Anyway just sitting there and taking in the view always quiets the surface thoughts, and faintly, as if from far far away, sort of muffled, in the context of recalling your story, I heard the thinker murmur "... Einstein said time and space are the same phenomenon ...". (** wanders off to find some brownies **)

Samadhi and relativity are always available to you by way of surrogacy but as far as the running is concerned yer on yer own!

Yes, I've noticed something had changed over there since a while. That was one of those realizations ZD was talking about. You just have to go back to that state of being when you first started this thread and then it will all come back. Well, obviously it's not dead. It's not a high traffic forum by design.

Welcome, Farmer. Thank you. Sure, changed, maturity + some knots being undone. A continuing process. Yeah, I suppose, but defining, or remembering it, seems of little importance. Returning though, perhaps is. Sure, twas a joke on my part. I felt the need to step away from ST, too much (of some indescribable something) for me. This site, being a quieter, and perhaps more refined version of that one, suits my tastes better, for now anyway.

It's only a spirituality forum by name, not really by content. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. It's just for different kinds of folks. Just my 2 pesos. So, you are interested in returning to that state? That you are not interested in defining or remembering it is good news already, hehe.

Just my 2 pesos. ST is fine, just noisier. And noise is fine. It's my ears that give me trouble sometimes. yeah, ok, understood

Time for tougher questions: How is it possible that we exist? What is it that exists? What are we supposed to do? Why do we want stuff? Why do we want to be happy? Why is there suffering?

Time for tougher questions: 1)How is it possible that we exist? 2)What is it that exists? 3)What are we supposed to do? 4)Why do we want stuff? 5)Why do we want to be happy? 6)Why is there suffering? Okay, I'll give you the A-H version: 1) We are extensions of source. 2) Source. 3) Flowing source energy, finding objects of attention we can flow energy toward. 4) It's just an object of attention we can flow energy toward. The stuff doesn't really matter. The flowing matters. 5) It's our natural state of being. 6) Because of screwy beliefs, being out of alignment.
