You've noticed that the adds have started, and this is because the introductory add free period has expired. My preference is that this forum be add free, and it turns out that it only costs $7/month to make that happen, which seems worthwhile. I've already paid for an add free February, so in a few days they should go away.
Here's how the scam.....I mean...system works. $1 dollar buys 1 credit, and 7 credits gives us an add free month. Credits can be purchased by any member by clicking the add free link at the bottom of any page. When we have at least 7 credits I can assign those credits to a particular month to make it add free.
I can't roll over credits to the next month, (which is why I didn't pay $7 for the rest of this month) and so buying credits in the last few days of the month may not give me time to assign them, so if you're interested in contributing, please wait till Feb 1. You can buy 1 credit or as many as you want to buy.
